Josie Dunne

Josie Dunne welcomes us into her cozy Nashville apartment during this Buzzsession—turning her quarantine sanctuary into a light and airy space to perform. She captures a lovely scene of her daily doings which include taking bike rides, going on nature walks, playing with her pet bird and most importantly, washing her hands for at least 20 seconds. Candid and natural, Dunne gives us the opportunity to see the life of a musician during a time of crisis, and how they manage to keep doing what they are most passionate about despite the challenges that have surfaced.

In her cover of “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing” by Stevie Wonder, Dunne offers an acoustic sound that comforts and soothes—a perfect melody for a time of such uncertainty. Her powerful vocals and lively personality make this a charming listen. In the same upbeat fashion, Dunne shares the track  “Ooh La La” from her latest EP Late Teens/ Early Twenties...Back To It. The sound is energized, yet graceful. Both songs performed by Dunne exude a vigor and mentality that things are going to be okay, especially when there is good music to get us through the struggle.
