Bringing Broadway to The Wild Honey Pie has always been a dream of ours for forever, and we’re so incredibly excited that it’s finally a reality. There was nothing that could have prepared us for just how thrilling it would be when the Broadway Cast of CHICAGO The Musical jumped in. 

Maybe it’s the 1920s charm, the thrill of choreography that defies physics, the songs that follow us home, or the characters we can’t help but root for - and maybe even relate to -  but it is impossible to deny how iconic CHICAGO The Musical truly is. 

As one of the longest-running musicals in history, it paved the way for so many of the musicals we know and love today. CHICAGO The Musical also has a reputation for showcasing generational talents, and we are seriously fangirling over this Broadway cast. Hey there, party people!  Remember the vibes from On The Mountain back in 2015? Here’s a refresher for those who don’t remember. 

Well, guess what? It's making a triumphant return, and we're bursting with excitement! Get ready to dust off your neon leg warmers and tease up your hair because On The Mountain, our radical 80s-themed après-ski weekend, is back from March 22-24 at Hunter Mountain and Glen Falls House in NY. And let me tell you, this lineup we're dropping today is off the charts!

Picture this: Live music from Local Natives, Gus Dapperton, Rubblebucket, Fat Tony, Runnner, Toledo, Girlpuppy and Salt Cathedral! Plus, it’s also a wellness retreat with yoga, somatic breathwork, sound baths and massage. We’ll have food pop-ups featuring Vegan Nom, Moonburger and a Swiss Alpine menu from malli. Our DJ sets will have you dancing all night long.

Launched in 2017, our Dinner Party series is the ultimate way to share your love for live music, exceptional food and inventive drinks all in one place. For our first Dinner Party of the year we’re back at Le Fanfare in Brooklyn on March 4 for a 5-course tasting menu, cocktails from Maker's Mark, and a special duo set from U.S. Girls and Geordie Gordon. Le Fanfare will also be showcasing Grillo's Pickles in their menu as well as in our specialty cocktail. If you’re a fan of fresh black truffles, we have some news for you. At this Dinner Party only, we’re including multiple courses featuring this amazing ingredient at no extra cost.

Since 2021, we've been hooked on Jelani's tunes, and his latest jam, "I'm in Love," has us hitting repeat like there's no tomorrow. Seriously, it's been playing on a loop since it dropped earlier this month, and we're not even close to getting tired of it!

So, what's the next step in our Jelani Aryeh obsession? A live performance, of course! Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 24, and come party with us and our blog buds, Stereogum, at the Glen Falls House in Round Top, NY. Picture this: delicious pizza from Paulie Gee’s, an hour of music from Jelani Aryeh, and a vibe that's off the charts. It's going to be epic!

As the year wraps up we've been reflecting on all the music that made it a joyful one and we're proud to present our lovingly curated list of the songs that brought us everything we needed in 2023.

 It's been a big year for The Wild Honey Pie as we've continued to uplift artists of all sizes. While our platform has evolved from our editorial roots into a creative agency, we will always shine a light on the music we love. This year we produced intimate Dinner Parties with musical guests Sabrina Song, Zella Day, Flock of Dimes, Adam Melchor, Jake Scott, Shannon Lay, Mamalarky and Salt Cathedral. We also launched our Pizza Party series in the Hudson Valley, New York where we brought Rubblebucket, Twin Shadow, Adam Melchor, Frankie Cosmos, Fruit Bats, Liz Cooper, Salt Cathedral and Toledo for live performances and unlimited Paulie Gee's Pizza. We brought back Buzzsessions in a in a new form, Family Meal, where we record our favorite bands as they record studio quality versions of their songs, with a dash of the culinary arts mixed in. We featured touching performances by Al Olender, Bartees Strange, Declan McKenna and Chris LaRocaa this year. Our passion for music discovery ran strong through everything we brought to life this year and we feel so lucky to have a front row seat to the musical delights our favorite artists shared this year.

The golden age of the music blog may have come to an end, but the companies that defined the era are still very much alive and well. We are beyond thrilled to welcome our blog buds, Stereogum, as co-presenters of our Pizza Party series, hosted at various resorts in upstate NY. With a little help from our friends, we’re starting the year by bringing Caroline Rose to the Catskills for a very special solo performance and as always, gourmet pizza from Paulie Gee’s, at Glen Falls House on January 18. Unlimited slices of pizza will be paired with our curated drink menu featuring Olipop, Hendrick's Gin,  New Belgium and Visitor non-alc beer. 

Meet us at Hunter Mountain and hit the slopes before the show, with DJ sets in the base lodge by Eli Goldstein of Soul Clap, Nico Losada of Salt Cathedral and Saint Hippo.

Paulie Gee welcomes Declan McKenna for our latest Buzzsession: Family Meal. This special Family Meal will feature fresh vegan pizza, plus Declan McKenna performing acoustic versions of “My House”, “Sympathy”, and “The Key To Life On Earth”. 

Buzzsession Family Meal is a live performance music video series produced with love by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we film our favorite bands as they record studio-quality versions of their songs, with a dash of the culinary arts mixed in. Thanks to Topo Chico for helping us bring this collab to life.

We launched our Pizza Party series back in April and have since had an absolute blast bringing mind-blowing artists upstate for intimate live performances paired with pizza from Brooklyn’s legendary Paulie Gee’s. 

We’re so incredibly grateful to everyone who has joined our community up here and will be celebrating the holidays with our final Pizza Party of the year on December 16 with an entire day of wintery fun! We're bringing our friends from the band Rubblebucket to the Catskills for a coziest and cute dance party at Glen Falls House. Join us at Glen Falls House for live music, unlimited slices from Paulie Gee and drinks from Olipop,  Hendrick's Gin, Visitor non-alcoholic beer and New Belgium’s Fat Tire. Indie fashion designer, Samantha Pleet, will be dressing the band and giving away a dress to one lucky guest.

We’ve been Zella Day fans since we shot our Buzzsession with her in 2014, so of course we're counting down the days until we get to see her intimate performance at our Austin Dinner Party. We've been captivated by her unique blend of folk, pop and rock for a decade now and we can't wait to experience her music live with our Austin friends. 

Join The Wild Honey Pie, Topo Chico and Jack Daniel’s on November 9 at The Grey Market for an evening of Southern Cuisine from Diner Bar, cocktails featuring Jack Daniel's and live music from Zella Day.

Last but not least, for the very first time we're bringing fashion to the Dinner Party. Indie fashion designer, Samantha Pleet, will be showcasing some of her otherworldly looks at the event.

Since launching our Dinner Party concert series in Seattle with Shannon Lay this summer, we've been dreaming of returning and we're thrilled to be back so soon! We're so excited to bring Brooklyn indie artist, Sabring Song, to Seattle for a Dinner Party at Nirmal's on November 13 with some help from Maker's Mark.

Halloween is right around the corner and we’ve got you covered for the festivities with a zombie-themed Pizza Party! We’ve been fans of Twin Shadow for over a decade which is why we’re so excited to bring him to the Catskills as a special Halloween treat. On October 26, don your finest zombie look and join us at Glen Falls House for live music, unlimited slices from Paulie Gee, plenty of Grillo’s Pickles and drinks from Olipop, Maker’s Mark and New Belgium’s Voodoo Ranger. 

Twin Shadow will be playing songs off his albums Forget and Confess accompanied by a local orchestra. All we can say is prepare to be immersed in a wave of pure nostalgia and indie pop goodness.
