About

During their latest trip to New York during the music festival CMJ, it seemed Glassnote Records and 4AD artist Daughter captured the attention of our entire city.  Truthfully, it isn’t just our city, but everywhere they visit.  Fortunately for us, the London-based trio fronted by Elena Tonra, only days after they played the Late Show with David Letterman, stopped by Degraw Sound in Brooklyn, New York for our latest Buzzsession.  Daughter has yet to release a full-length album, but you can be sure to expect one in 2013.  Enjoy the session below and free downloads of the Buzzsession versions of “Love” and “Tomorrow” using the Soundcloud embed.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie.  With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs.  This Buzzsession was a collaboration with Shuffler.fm shot at Degraw Sound, a Brooklyn recording studio on the Park Slope/Gowanus border, owned and operated by producer/engineer/musician Ben Rice.  Interested in booking time there?  Click here.
