Reuse

Even though the concept of cover songs has shifted tremendously throughout the history of music, covers have increasingly become a powerful way of recontextualizing the meaning of a song. Here at The Wild Honey Pie, we stand by the creative conversation that results when great artists cover amazing songs written by equally talented artists. For this reason, we've partnered up with our pals at Vapur to bring you our newest playlist, Reuse: full of cover songs by some of our favorite artists of all time, both old and new, well-known and emerging. We've featured a few of our Buzzzsession recordings from the likes of Ella Vos, Ritual Talk and Potty Mouth, legendary indie artists like Cat Power, Young the Giant and Fiona Apple, and some of our current favorites like The Marías, Julia Jacklin and Japanese Breakfast.

Like our friends at Vapur water bottles, we believe that picking something up again when it's been forgotten is a small means of making a big impact on the world. In the same way that Iron & Wine's cover of "Such Great Heights" or the Cigarettes After Sex cover of "Neon Moon" stitches together distinct worlds of sound, Vapur brings together recycled plastics to create a durable product that can be used over and over again. If you live for the outdoors or are always on the go, Vapur is the ideal water bottle for you. This year at Welcome Campers, every staff member and camper was given a Vapur bottle to keep them hydrated for a weekend of fun camp activities, amazing live performances and lots of sunshine. Customize your own hip-looking bottle on their site today to begin drinking sustainably while listening to your new favorite playlist of reworked tracks.
