White Rabbits have just released their new album It’s Frightening, which, like their first album Fort Nightly, is a wonderfully playful, moody adventure into the everyday struggles of a regular guy. Even better, the band has just announced that they will be touring with Interpol starting October 18.
White Rabbits has had a whirlwind couple of years, spending time touring with bands The Walkmen, Tokyo Police Club, Spoon, and The Cribs as well as rocking festivals like Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and Sasquatch. The band finally unpacked their suitcases long enough to record It’s Frightening over the course of four weeks in Rare Book Room in Brooklyn. Produced by Britt Daniel (Spoon) and recorded by engineer Nicholas Vernhes (Deerhunter, Animal Collective), It’s Frightening entices new listeners as well as old (my personal favorite is Percussion Gun with its killer drum beats and Strokes like vocals).
Also, while you’re at it, listen to White Rabbits’ exciting Daytrotter session here.
