Weeks Top Releases April 8, 2016

We’ve got a lot to be excited about this week — whether it’s the return of Parquet Courts with a cheeky new record, Human Performance, the smooth sounds of Gallant or another solid release from Deftones, there’s a little something for any mood and any setting. First and foremost, though, we’re excited to dig deeper into Human Performance — another relentlessly creative record from the professional trolls in Parquet CourtsFrightened Rabbits are also back with their second release on Atlantic Records, Painting of a Panic Attack, a slightly more polished but equally compelling effort from the Scottish group. And then there’s Gallant, charming the pants off everyone with his seductive, enormously fun album Ology. Today also marks the release of Deftones’ dissonant and dark yet melodic Gore, the rock band’s eighth studio album. M83’s Junk may be getting mixed reviews, but that’s no reason not to give the music a listen for yourself! After his last few releases, he’s earned our attention at the very least.
