Our final addition to the On The Boat lineup, Hamilton Leithauser of The Walkmen, met us on the dock right outside of the Newport Folk Festival grounds for a two song recording of “The Silent Orchestra” and “11 O’Clock Friday Night." As boats passed and guests looked quietly on, the scenery offered a perfect compliment to the acoustic intimacy of his songs.

On The Boat is a video series made possible by Squarespace featuring intimate performances shot at some of our favorite music festivals. For Newport Folk Fest in Newport, Rhode Island we chartered a boat, set a course for Fort Adams State Park and brought aboard some incredible artists and fans. The weekend was filled with performances by Lucius, Shakey Graves, Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, Hamilton Leithauser, Tall Tall Trees and Death Vessel.
