Don’t make plans this upcoming Wednesday as we’re presenting The Rumble, our second-ever free concert. The Rumble will take place on September 29th at the Studio at Webster Hall and will feature local bands, Chappo, The Gay Blades, and Data Dog.
You’ve heard Chappo before, yet you don’t know Chappo. They’re pop-tacular single, “Come Home”, is currently featured on the new iPod touch commercial. You know, the one with the tarp wave and plenty of FaceTime action? You can also catch them at The Deli’s Magazine CMJ Showcase on October 23rd at Spike Hill with Arpline, Miniboone, and Shark?.

Indie rock outfit, The Gay Blades, is the power-packed combo of Clark Westfield and Puppy Mills. Their sophomore album, Savages, drops on October 5th, but you’ll be able to catch these brand new power pop tunes at The Rumble.

Data Dog is a new favorite of ours that’s making waves here in New York. Their new EP, Night Light, is an addicting collection of six songs that will be on sale at The Rumble. If you can’t make it to our show, you can also see them at Pianos (10/3), The Woods (10/6), or CoCo66 (10/16).
On behalf of The Wild Honey Pie and our co-sponsors, Future Sounds, CMJ, East Village Radio, and The Musebox, you’re officially invited. Find me and I’ll buy you a beer.
