TV GIRL SHARE NEW VIDEO FOR “LOUD AND CLEAR” [PREMIERE]

Lately, TV Girl (@tvgirlz) seem to be constantly pumping out the gems, and we at The Wild Honey Pie are actually lucky enough to be premiering the band’s latest clip.

Simplicity is key here. How hilarious would it be if you filmed your mate being pummeled with water balloons, covered in bubble bath liquid and finally having flour dropped onto his head, all whilst he sings the lyrics, straight-faced to your new song. Simply hilarious, right? Well check it here.

The track “Loud and Clear” is from the San Diego indie pop duo’s debut, full-length mixtape titled The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle (which you can download here for free via Stereogum here). Although the mix is full of wonderfully weird vocal samples, the duo has managed to uniquely blend these into some catchy pop tunes. The track in question features some vintage samples, a hooky, yet low-key melody line and some clever, irony-filled lyrics — definitely the kind of listening you want on a warm Summer’s day whilst melting into your deck chair and blazing in the sun. Yeah.
