I told myself I would take a break from blogging over the holidays, but that obviously wasn’t going to happen. I’m addicted.
Southern California’s The Smiles haven’t helped my cause either. Sturgeon, McGrath and Co’s EP, Hermosa, is incredibly catchy; filled with hooking bass lines, swooning lyrics, and afrobeat chanting akin to Vampire Weekend. The EP was well-received by tons of bloggers (PTST, The Mouth of the Beast, Brand X), and deservingly so.
