Brooklyn folk sextet, The Loom, has been garnering attention from respected sources in both the real and internet worlds. The New Yorker, Brooklyn Vegan, RCRD LBL, and Tiny Mix Tapes are singing their praise, RCRD LBL touting The Loom as “kick out glow-in-the-dark folk wailers that flirt with the anthemic, but never abandon the quiet spaces they were born in.” In a crowded local music scene that tends to favor the more electronically-focused acts, it is indeed refreshing to find a delicate folk crew getting the press they deserve.
Below you will find our most recent Buzzsession, filmed with the group on one of the many disgustingly polluted waterways of Brooklyn. The audio from our sessions of “With Legs” and “A Song of Faint Praise” are available for free download as well.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
