Buzzband of the summer, Tennis, played to a packed house filled with label execs, PR peeps, and adoring fans at Cake Shop in Manhattan on Wednesday night. After a lengthy wait, Alaina Moore and Co. took the stage and played their summery tunes one after the other. Songs like “South Carolina”, “Baltimore”, and of course the widely popular single, “Marathon”, piqued the crowd’s interest. The sailors-turned-musicians also played last night at Glasslands in Brooklyn. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the place as busy.
