Tennis opened up for The Shins at their sold out Celebrate Brooklyn show in Prospect Park. The husband and wife duo Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore have been making waves since 2010 with their lighthearted surf pop sounds. The set was absolutely delightful, and perfect to set the mood for the indie sounds of The Shins. They played songs from their latest album released in March of this year, Yours Conditionally, as well as favorites like “Needle and a Knife” and “Origins.”

The Shins then took the stage to a very excited crowd. They are currently touring in support of their first album in five years, Heartworms, which was released in March of this year. They played songs from the latest album in addition to old favorites like “Chutes Too Narrow,” “Girl Inform Me,” and “Caring Is Creepy.” It was an incredible show and the band is set to hit Brooklyn again on November 3rd for a show at Kings Theatre.
