We just cracked open the love-it-on-loud EP by Paris/Michigan duo Freedom Fry and couldn’t be feeling better about it. The three track summertime teaser, Friends and Enemies, has us primed, prepped and on our way to happier, sunnier days of troublemaking and daytime dance partying. What’s that, you say? Envious of our stellar vibes? Just put this pretty EP on high volume, and you’ll [READ ON]

Is it really already December?  As the year begins to wind down, there are a ton of great bands in town playing shows across Brooklyn and Manhattan.  Of all those shows, we’re not surprisingly most excited about the one we’re putting on at Knitting Factory in Williamsburg on Friday night.  I started this blog 3 [READ ON]

20best 550x227 TOP 20 FREE PARTIES OF CMJ 2012

There are some people who believe CMJ is like any other Friday night in NYC, but they’re simply wrong. We here at The Wild Honey Pie love CMJ so much (as witnessed by our 3 parties) that we just couldn’t help but compile a list of all our favorite [READ ON]

Update: Got the days mixed up!  This is from the Bowery Ballroom show.

Oh Land’s (@ohlandmusic) headlining performance this past Monday at Bowery Ballroom was my first time at the venue, and, while it took over an hour for me to navigate coat check after the show, the overall experience was great. For a photographer wanting to walk around and gain different perspectives, Bowery is perfect — a reasonably sized space with an appropriate capacity. [READ ON]
