Portugal. the Man, with opener Royal Bangs, played to a sold out crowd Monday night at Irving Plaza. There were some technical glitches at the get-go, but the band worked through them without missing a beat. It’s always a pleasure to attend Portugal’s well thought out shows, this time with colorful lights, bright lasers and a fog machine that turned the band’s members into thrashing silhouettes.
