It’s not a stretch to say that we love (really love) Alt-J (@alt_j) around these parts. I love the band so much that any association with them will make things I was previous luke-warm on suddenly awesome. Take Mumford & Sons (@mumfordofficial), the extremely successful and extremely ubiquitous band, whose surprisingly great cover of “Tesselate” gave me a whole new feel for the folk-rock [READ ON]

This may be a bold claim, but I can truly say that King Charles (@kingcharlesuk) is one of my favorite musicians. When I first saw him perform in London in 2009, his unorthodox stage presence had me floored — I had never seen someone climb the walls of a music venue sporting a sparkling unitard all while shredding it on guitar. His hair was another [READ ON]

bbbbb OUR TOP BANDS TELL US THEIR 2K10 FAVORITES

We love Stereogum and we love lists so naturally, we’re big fans of their recent ’40 Best New Bands Of 2010′ list.  Seems that we share a lot of the same tastes in music, so we figured it could be repetitive and sort of lame to make a list of our own.  Instead, we’ve gotten in touch with some of our favorite bands of 2010, some of which were on Stereogum’s list, and asked them who their favorite bands of 2K10 are. WHY SASQUATCH SCHOOLED COACHELLA

Sasquatch Announcement WHY SASQUATCH SCHOOLED COACHELLA

As I previously stated, Coachella was a massive disappointment.  The amount of stage hopping (having to go from stage to stage to see the acts I wanted to) was ridiculous.  Who’s to blame? Well, whoever sets the lineup obviously.  This past weekend, I was lucky enough to make my way to Washington for an epic music festival called Sasquatch.  Not only is the name cool, but the acts involved were absolutely stellar!
