You know it’s a good day when Sufjan Stevens releases a video, new song, or any news at all really!
Directors Scott Ogden and Malcolm Hearn have created a documentary entitled “MAKE” that focuses on four artists “on the furthest fringes of our society.” The film has been in the works for 12 years now and includes plenty of footage of Prophet Royal Robertson, the schizophrenic artist whose work appeared as the album art for Sufjan’s 2010 album.
Sufjan Stevens and Marc Bianchi (of My Space Holiday) have both written original compositions for the film’s soundtrack which will also feature songs from Au Revoir Simone, Tommy Guerrero, Oneida, and Jim Guthrie. ”MAKE” is being screened this Friday, June 17th here in Manhattan.
