About

Earlier this year, Sweden’s Shout Out Louds made their way to Brooklyn for a round of gigs and took the time to stop by Room 17, a fantastic Bushwick-based recording studio, for a Buzzsession.  Riding high off the release of their fantastic new record, Optica, the band played two of my absolute favorite tracks, “Burn” and “Illusions”, both of which you can watch below.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie.  With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs.  This Buzzsession was shot at Room 17, a Brooklyn recording studio in Bushwick, owned and operated by producer/engineer Joe Rogers.

I don’t know either, Dan. “Download” options seem to be non-existent.
Did it mean “the YouTube LINK is free to copy and paste” when it said “free download”? Because THAT would be just…lame. It’s like, “Look guys! Look what’s in my personal music library! It’s a couple of great tracks from this cool band I just discovered and because it was a “download” it doesn’t need to stream via a solid Internet connection to access and listen to it! The file is physically on my hard drive already! Isn’t that cool?! …er…um…Oh wait…sorry. It’s not like I said at all… Actually it’s the exact opposite of what I just enthusiastically explained. it’s just a link. To YouTube. Ok let’s find something else to listen to…”
(Or if I’m just retarded and I’m staring at the download option here on the site and don’t know it please let me know so I know to ammend my very long (already) scenario above attempting to illustrate my point.
