There aren’t very many musicians releasing their music in as creative of a manner as New York band, Shinobi Ninja.  Their most recent EP, The Video Game EP, was released today via an NES cartridge (CD within), immediate MP3 download, as well as an iPhone app.  Now if that’s not outdoing the very best, what is?

In an age when releasing such an elaborate packaging method is unheard of, Shinobi Ninja is easily setting themselves apart my doing something incredibly different.  The aesthetics of the EP nearly overshadow the album itself, however, with songs like the hip hop-influenced Back In The Daze, or reggae-ish Brooklyn To Babylon, Shinobi Ninja isn’t all marketing tricks.

Head over to their website to order all their “ish” and listen to the entire EP below!
