On a busy day filled with sessions and interviews, Seabear made it to Stuy Town in Manhattan for a session that I have been looking forward to for quite some time now. With two albums under their belt, the Icelandic sextet mixed it up with three beautiful songs, two from their 2010 release, We Build A Fire, and one from their 2007 release, The Ghost That Carried Us Away. It was a special moment for me, embracing the inevitable changing of the seasons with a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, falling leaves and ‘band Seabear‘. Per the usual, Melanie made an amazing illustration of the band to accompany the videos, so leave her your love in the comments.
Special thanks to Melanie Steinway for the amazing art above. For more of her work, click here.
‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
