About

Before our epic trip down to Austin for SXSW, Eric Elbogen of Say Hi met us in a mysterious back alley in NYC for a Buzzsession.  This was a pretty amazing moment for me.  I’ve been listening to Say Hi for years now.  Actually, I’ve been listening to Say Hi To Your Mom since my sophomore year in college when I discovered Eric’s brilliant tracks “These Fangs” and “Hooplas Involving Circus Tricks”.  Though he changed his moniker from Say Hi To Your Mom to simply Say Hi, his music has remained great.  These Buzzsessions are a great example of why his music means so much to me.  Eric, thank you so much for letting us film with you.  Respect.

Special thanks to Derek Eads for another amazing illustration.  For more of his work, click here.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie.  With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
