In case you haven’t seen the weather report or looked out your window, it’s pretty fucking disgusting outside right now. Not exactly a good day to listen to The Drums or Surfer Blood.
But there’s always Saffron Holiday and their exquisit new track, “Chelsea”, set to be released on April 1st, but already quite at home on BandCamp. This Maryland/DC-based quartet bills themselves as a transatlantic rock band, which at first baffled me. It’s quite evident after a quick listen to the other tracks on their EP, however, that their music is heavily influenced by London music traditions. The rough harmonies and overlapping vocals are really killing me right now. Tugging on my heart like the dog pictured below (taken in Austin during SXSW). Enjoy this beautiful track!
