Quiet Hollers ‘Departure’ is Americana with a Punk Edge [Stream]

Quiet Hollers makes the kind of music reminiscent of their name. The Lousiville band takes the best from pop, indie-rock and a heavy does of old school alt-country and comes up with a track that’s as radio friendly as it is infectious. ‘Departure’ chugs along with purpose – an old rock electric guitar elevated by the energetic rhythm. It’s an Americana track in spirit, but it’s easy to see the punk energy bubbling underneath. ‘Departures’ is off the band’s great self titles album, which comes out Oct. 23 – check out the track above and be sure to catch them at Rockwood for the album release show on Oct. 25.
