POND brought their psychedelic rock sounds to Music Hall of Williamsburg earlier this week with support from Machete WesternMachete Western warmed up the crowd with an interesting mix of classic rock and country western vibes. By the end of the set, the lead singer was wearing nothing but a studded jock strap and thrusting into the crowd.

POND played an incredible set with the crowd jumping and dancing through it all. The Australian group, founded by two members of Tame Impala’s touring band, played their new single “Sweep Me Off My Feet” in addition to other favorites like “Elvis Flaming Star” and “Giant Tortoise.” Frontman Nick Allbrook is an insanely entertaining performer. At one point he spit a fountain of whiskey into the crowd and finished the night crowdsurfing. POND is in the middle of a US tour, so make sure to catch one of their wild performances.
