We owe everything to Brooklyn band Pearl and the Beard. It was at their show at the Sycamore in Ditmas Park where I first met Lauren, and became even more passionate about the site. For that, thank you very much guys! It’s been a dream of mine to film with my favorite NYC trio since, and a couple of weekends ago, I was finally given a chance to do just that.
On Sunday, February 20, we took to Union Square with Jeremy Styles, Emily Hope Price, and Jocelyn Mackenzie where we had the band perform five songs for an audience (pop up show style). Make sure to watch the final video! Just as Pearl and the Beard finished up their performance, the little boy and his grandmothers walked up. His grandmother came up to me and asked about the music, adamantly telling me how much her grandson loves the guitar. I couldn’t help but to call Mr. Jeremy Styles over and asked him to play a song for the youngster. With guitar in hand, and this kiddo attentively watching, Jeremy played an original song entitled, “Come On and Dance”.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
