NYC-born but LA-based musician Harlan (@harlanla) was destined to perform. Born into a musical family, he was trained in classical composition at a tender age, and eventually went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston. Listening to Harlan, you can easily hear and enjoy influences from funk, soul, and pop taken from his diverse background, which he’s recently been sharing with audiences as part of Mayer Hawthorne’s How Do You Do tour. Although he’s already released two albums as Alex (his middle name) of the duo Alex & Sam, and some of his work has been featured on popular TV shows (Castle, Private Practice), he’s getting ready to release his debut album as Harlan, on which he will have produced and played every instrument (except for drums).
