 OZARKS RETRO, RELEVANT SOUND [STREAM]

Have you heard of Ozarks yet? If not, you need to. Meet Eric Lee and Robbie Augspurger (@robbieaug), the friends and musical geniuses behind Ozarks. The Portland duo give us complex and well-crafted songwriting that emerges with a very unique, contemporary baroque-pop sound. Ozarks recently put out a three-track single back in June, which was quickly followed by the release of their 15-track, self-titled debut album in July. The band has an obsession with collecting obscure vintage LPs, and this hobby is more than evident on their own album. While Ozarks has the definitive retro feel of the late 60s/early 70s, it also has no problem managing to sound relevant and modern.

The LP is available at Ozarks’ Bandcamp page, and it’s worth every cent — the entire album is beautifully produced and super dreamy. Check these guys out, and you wont regret it.
