Odessa Mesmerized at Rockwood Music Hall [Photos]

A few days back, Odessa took the stage at Rockwood Music Hall, finally headlining her own show after touring with amazing musicians like Gill Landry. Joined by the opener Omar Velasco, a very talented singer/songwriter from Mexico, she played her self-titled debut record in its entirety, mesmerizing the audience with her delicate voice. “Hummed Low”, “My Match” and of course, everyone’s favorite “I Will Be There”, were among the tunes she performed. Odessa grew up by the beach in sunny California, and it’s clearly reflected in her music — soft vocals, effortless guitar picking and a very laid back stage presence feel like an ocean breeze on a hot summer day. Her debut album Odessa is now available via Republic Records.
