Ernest Greene, the one man brilliance behind Washed Out (@ernestgreene), has come a long way since his lonely days of bedroom production. Touring with a strong live act (often backed by Brooklyn’s Small Black) and set to release Within and Without on July 12th, I’m pretty excited for what the rest of 2011 will hold for Greene. Though he’s released other EPs previously, both by himself and with label support, this will be his first attempt at producing something full-length.

Following in the footsteps of other highly-anticipated albums this year, Within and Without is currently available as a full stream through NPR. We’ll post a full review soon, but for now, enjoy the chill electronic tunes for free!
