Just before the cold weather set in this week, we took to Central Park for what will most likely be our final warm weather video sessions of the year. Sad. But not really. I can’t wait to go sledding and shoot a session on an ice-covered lake in Westchester.
Funny story. After our original taping with Nonviolence, we stumbled upon street performer $G-Money$, a badass drummer who claims to perform as a way of staying out of trouble. After watching his nonstop bombardment of percussion for about ten minutes, Nonviolence lead singer/guitarist Joshua R. Lewis approached him and asked if he wanted to be in our session. To my surprise, he was down, as you’ll be able to see in the first video below.
Currently, Nonviolence is in the process of raising money via RocketHub (Kickstarter alternative), and has 35% of his $7,500 goal with 4 days left. You can help him make his album, and even get a free show out of it here.
Special thanks to Melanie Steinway for the amazing art above. For more of her work, click here.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
