The emotional depth and classically trained roots of Brooklyn’s Noble Kids are beautifully apparent on their two newest tracks, “Never Let Me Down” and “Ghosts”, both re-imagined versions of songs from their recent LP, Fawn. A reaction to how the live performances resonated with the band, the recordings find the quartet exploring new, more gentle sonic territory. Brought to life at Tarquin Studios, the rearranged tracks offer a more subtle, sensitive take on the material, with piano at the base and highly prevalent string arrangements creating a more expressive core to the already expressive tracks. Though Kevin Chang’s guitar is less present, the flourishes he adds are the understated icing on this cake. Check out the tracks above, and be sure to give the full Fawn LP a listen as well!
