Who doesn’t like wine?  Seriously! When Nicole Atkins (@nicoleatkins) got in touch with us about filming a buzzsession, we threw a round a few ideas.  It’s the middle of winter here in New York City, and days like last Thursday don’t happen often (please tell me you got to enjoy that day if you were in NYC).  Taking Nicole out into the cold didn’t sound like a very nice plan, so we decided to get in touch with our favorite local wine bar.

In Vino (@evwgnyc) is about five blocks from my apartment, and is already pretty involved in New York’s music scene.  About once a month, they host a night of wine tasting and indie music, their most recent events being collabs with Freelance Whales, Bear Hands, and Lenka.  Nicole Atkins played their second ever ‘Vivo In Vino’ last June, so when they heard we wanted to bring her back, they couldn’t have been more excited.

Nicole met us there as their prep cook was getting ready for the day.  After a quick greeting from the owners, Nicole played “Cry Cry Cry” and “Hotel Plaster” off of her recently released album, Mondo Amore, as well as “Monterey Honey”, a Robert Harrison cover.  Enjoy the tasty Buzzsessions below!
