Australian seven-piece, The Middle East, is set to unleash their havoc on the world with their fourth studio release, I Want That You Are Always Happy, which will hit shelves on June 9. The band is currently previewing two tracks from the upcoming album via their Facebook page.
Their indie psych folk tunes are incredibly haunting, especially with “Black Death”, a track that shines with smooth vocals, delicate guitar, and a sparse electronic ambiance. The other available track, “Jesus Came To My Birthday Party”, is lyrically gripping and genuinely perfect. There’s something so dark about The Middle East’s new songs that sends a chill down my spine while remaining bright and relatively friendly. Check out the tracks for yourself below.
