A lot of anticipated albums are dropping this week – though when we were expecting a surprise Kendrick Lamar record I suppose “anticipated” is in the eye of the beholder. You have hopefully an end to the never-ending dumb interview cycle that is Father John Misty’s new record. Our favorite supergroup The New Pornographers have a record that will surly be one of our favorites of the year, as their records always tend to be. Indie kings Future Islands are back after the revelatory Singles with a new record that’s just full of weird amazingness, and best part, a reason for them to tour and hopefully go on late night TV again. San Fermin has another bunch of orchestral goodness for us and Cold War Kids offer up another perfect gem of indie-rock. Last but certainly not least, Diet Cig’s have their full length debut in all their garage glory.
