I’m studying in London at the moment, so obvious I’ve become used to the British accent. Wait, I will rephrase that sentence. I have become used to MOST British accents. There’s still one that baffles me at times, and that is the Welsh. I have nothing against it, only that it is sometimes a bit hard to understand.

Los Campesinos! is a band from Cardiff, Wales, which is located in the southeast region of the nation. I have been listening to them since their debut album was released in February 2008, and am pleased to relay the news that they are releasing their third album in early 2010. They are a fun, unique band that exudes very strong emotions in their songs. Their accents come through strongly in their music, so if that bother you than you may not like them.

One thing I enjoy most about their music is their ability to build up a song with energy, then let it “explode.” I find the music very uplifting, that is, until I listened their most recent single from their upcoming album. I really enjoy it, yet it is a very different type of song than is found on their February 2008 album Hold On Now, Youngster.
