A product of Denver, CO, Weed Diamond has an uncommon 60′s sound. Frontman Tim Perry has a knack for finding the melody and producing a song that actually has passion behind it. The actual lyrics aren’t very clear due to the echoes, especially on the track Snowfelt – however, I found it refreshing to hear a band that isn’t hiding behind a mess of noisy, overpowering instruments.
The tunes produced by these guys fall under the category of experimental, but still have that pop tinge to them. For instance, their song Oklahoma is a lounging around style jam, but still slightly peppy. If you’re looking for some tunes to just chill out to, you can catch both these singles on the band’s 7″ vinyl due to be released March 29 via Transparent or just watch the video we’ve posted after the break.
