Neon Indian (aka Alan Palomo) performed a free show at East River Park this week. The show, hosted by City Parks Foundation, was a part of its 2016 season of SummerStage. Hundreds of music fans gathered and packed the East River Amphitheater quickly as AirBird was spinning as the opener. Neon Indian was a multimedia project launched by Palomo in 2009. Over the past few years, the group has released three albums, including Psychic Chasms, Era Extrana, and the most recent album VEGA INTL. Night School. Neon Indian hit the stage at 7:45pm and rocked for a full hour, closing the night with fan favorite, “Polish Girl,” adding some funky and electronic vibes to Lower Manhattan this summer.
