Nao, Owen, Foozle

After much of the country endured a serious heat wave this past week, I think we’re all in need of some chilled out new releases! Nao, the pseudonym for electronic-funk artist Neo Joshua, has released her debut album, For All We Know, after two successful EPs last year. Brit trio Beaty Heart is back for round two, sharing Till The Tomb, an album laden with percussive texture and smooth vocals. Composer Ben Chatwin, otherwise known for his experimental project, Talvihorros, has released Heat & Entropy, a minimalistic interpretation of classical composition and Owen’s The King of Whys is out today offering reflective songs with Mike Kinsella’s usual sage lyrics. Brooklyn-based DM Stith has come a long way since being discovered by Sufjan Stevens, exploring a greater range of sound by allowing his falsetto vocals to unravel through the use of electronic effects in his newest record, Pigeonheart. Last, DIY Maryland band Foozle has shared their second album, Romantic Comedies, revealing the idealizations and misinterpretations of love and unrequited love. Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and be sure to follow our playlist to know about all the new releases you check out!
