In my view, summer is the ideal season for anything in the psych genre. So with warm weather just around the corner, I am welcoming Midnight Sister’s first single “Leave You” with open arms. The duo’s dreamy synths and languid vocals take you on a wonderful, acid-soaked trip. And even though the lyrics seem to nod to the end of a relationship, the track doesn’t feel bogged down by sadness, but rather feels propelled by an eagerness to move forward.
Check out the trippy video, complete with wonderfully ’60s wardrobe, above, and keep an eye out for the band’s debut album out on Jagjaguwar later this year.
