I still remember watching MTV in high school, having MTV be my source of new music news.  How times have changed.  That was before Pitchfork was Rolling Stone, before LOST ever came to be, and before Music Television took the Music Television out of its logo (so sad). I remember one particular afternoon after an episode of a show I’m too embarrassed to reveal, a short clip of Wet and Rusting by Menomena came on.  Within five seconds, I had jumped on my computer, opened Napster, and downloaded the track.  It would become one of my all-time favorites, and will forever remind me of the final months of that (interesting?) time of my life.

Now Menomena is soon to release a new album and has decided to give a track away for free (here).  Always great to hear!  The new album, Mines, is dropping on July 27th on Bursuk Records.  Enjoy the listen!
