Drone: What’s up Lissie? So I saw you down at SXSW performing at a church. What was it like performing there? Did it seem like you were giving a sermon?
Lissie: Hi.. how goes it? Thanks for the interview and interest. Glad you caught that show. Such great acoustics and sound in the church! Fun gig! It was very special… and ya know, it didn’t feel like a sermon, but felt like a good place to be delivering some of my more yearning/spiritual songs.

Drone: Anyways, I’m totally hooked up LOST (RIP) right now. That shows is a piece of shit and won’t let me stop watching. Are you hooked too? What are your favorite TV shows?
Lissie: I’m an online TV junkie at times (Hulu and Netflix, doh!!) but have never seen lost! I love 30 Rock , Mad Men, The Office and Parks and Recreation currently.  I also got into Weeds and True Blood and am ready for new seasons!

Drone: Continuing with the Lost topic, if you were trapped on an island with a guitar. How would you use it to get off the island?
Lissie: I’d make up a song to send thoughts/vibrations imploring my loved ones or someone or aliens to come and help me, maybe? :)

Drone: As I understand it, you’re living in the UK at the moment. I lived in London in the fall and fell in love with the city. Not the food though! You like the food? What’s your favorite place to eat there?
Lissie: Yes, great city! it took me a bit to figure out the eating situation for sure :).  But i like to get groceries at whole foods, then make my own meals and I love this caribbean place in Shepherds Bush called Ochi. I get the jerk chicken meal… rice and beans, plantains, salad and hot sauce! Yum! I’m also really into veggie thai curry currently.  There’s a vietnamese spot in shore ditch called cay tree that’s also tops!

Drone: What musician would you like to work with that we’d least expect? Any love for Hanson or the Jonas Borthers? hahahaha
Lissie: Not really sure what you’d expect? Haha… but i would love to work with Brian Burton (Dangermouse)… and Dolly Parton!

Drone: Thanks for your time Lissie! When can we expect a full-length album?
Lissie: It’s coming out June 21st in the UK, so Americans can import it and I think we’ll try to make it available online sometime mid summer?  Not sure when the full promotional blitz will occur! looking forward to coming back home though!

Drone: All the best! I couldn’t love your music any more. You’re undoubtedly one of the most talented musicians I’ve come across in a long time.
