Let’s Get Out Of Here – Les Savy Fav (Free Download)
RISD grads, Les Savy Fav have announced a fall tour to promote their new album Root for Ruin that was released in early September. This is the band’s first release since 2007′s Let’s Stay Friends.
Les Savy Fav demonstrates their fifteen years of musical experience in this album by focusing only on work done by the members themselves. On previous albums, they have sought help from The Fiery Furnaces, Modest Mouse and Broken Social Scene. Their undeniably great chemistry makes for a less nostalgic album, but one that shows how they have grown as a group.
The band’s unforgettable weird sex metaphors were not abandoned completely, but they do explore a more open energy than what has spawned their legacy. The album shows their independent roots while opening for the possibility of a wider range of fandom. On the eleven tracks, front man Tim Harrington is still able to carry the band’s original influences while delving into new territory.
The band kicked off their tour Oct.1 which will include some East Coast dates. They will be bringing their Brooklyn sound across Europe for the remainder of the tour. Check out the tour dates listed below!
