Brooklyn’s Lazyeyes played a brilliant homecoming show at Rough Trade after returning from their recent Midwest tour, packing the venue with friends, fans and family. The Teen Age and Dead Stars were the opening acts — the former was also on the road with Lazyeyes throughout the tour. The Rough Trade show was also the last stop before the band’s hiatus to work on recording a full-length album.
The Brooklyn-natives put on a great show, playing their unforgettable rock tunes, sharing tour stories and giving away special tour souvenir merch to the crowd. Lazyeyes opened the set with “Islip”, the first track of their EP New Year, and later performed a cover of “Lips Like Sugar” by Echo and the Bunnymen with The Teen Age on stage. The homecoming show ended with the encore tune “New Year”, leaving fans anxious for more music — live or recorded!
