About

I was a huge Honorary Title fan.  As in, the anthem of my freshman year of college summer.  Big time!  Well, just as so many bands do, they broke up, and now lead singer Jarrod Gorbel is doing his own thing.  The new material is definitely different; a move away from indie pop towards folk-inspired pop.  Regardless, you’re still getting the same signature vocals, just in a different package.

Last week, we were invited to Jarrod’s apartment to record a Buzzsession with not only him, but the very talented Nicole Atkins and cellist Colette Alexander as well.  Of all the Buzzsessions we’ve done, I am pretty sure I’m most proud of the audio from these.  Jarrod sounded great, as did Nicole and Colette’s cello.  Thanks to all involved, and to you for watching!  Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Special thanks to Derek Eads for another amazing illustration.  For more of his work, click here.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie.  With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
