In Case You Missed It: Ryan Adams is Recording Covers of Taylor Swift’s 1989 [Video]

We don’t normally do this here, but such times call for some serious talking. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably heard that Ryan Adams is covering every single song on Taylor Swift’s modern masterpiece 1989. I’m just going to repeat that really quickly in case you (like me) went into a fuge state out of pure excitement — Ryan Adams is covering every single song on 1989. Yes, I am crying because I stopped believing in beauty, but now I see that I was so, so wrong. Beauty is everywhere and it took this snippet of “Out of the Woods” sung like it’s a B-Side from Love Is Hell to show me that.

Why is Ryan Adams doing this? Is it because he was worried that those of us that used to have (4) posters of him on our walls were growing out of our love for him? Maybe. Is it because he, like us, knows that every breakup is better after belting out some T Swizz songs? Probably. Is it because he is a perfect gem of a human being and somehow intuits our every whim and desire? Yes, most likely. Whatever the reason, Ryan Adams will be gifting us all something spectacular. He has given us the knowledge that if we wish hard enough for something, it will come true. Also, even the best things can be made better.

Please enjoy the below snippets of all the songs that have been released so far while you cry softly, rocking to and fro, contemplating the vast and unknowable beauty of the universe.
