Every Impulse – Harper Blynn (Free Download)
The self-titled album gives us another great set of simple and clean pop rock tunes that have an air of timeless musical sensibility. Their no-frills sound is effortless to enjoy, and the super catchy start-off song to the new collection “Models/Dancers” is perfect proof! Much of what you hear about this group is praise for their killer four-part harmonies, which are brilliantly showcased on “Start All Over.”
These guys also have a penchant for doing some great cover song performances, including Beyonce’s “Halo” and the Rolling Stones’ “Loving Cup” for one of our very own live sessions! For this EP, they’ve recorded a cover of the iconic Harry Nilsson song “Everybody’s Talkin’” from 1969. They’ve certainly lent a more modern indie rock spin, but still maintain a great amount of respect for the original. That takes serious talent!
