GIVERS is a band guaranteed to steal your heart away.
Classifying themselves as folk rock/afro-beat/Italian pop, GIVERS has that sound that will force you out of your seat and somehow convince you that is, indeed, okay to dance around your house with hairbrush in hand, even if the blinds are open.
With one EP already released, this Louisiana five-piece has won over countless hearts with their incorporation of a variety of genres into their self-titled debut. Bold harmonies and alternating melodies were the name of the game on their debut, and with the recent release of a new track, In My Eyes, on their MySpace, neither of those killer traits are going anywhere.

As for the instrumentals, their debut contained folk-style guitar picking, perfect rhythm and enchanting bass lines accompanying well-done synth leads. When broken down and described it sounds like a disaster, but it’s the most beautiful disaster you could ask for.
Really, when you get down to it, GIVERS may only have one EP under their belt, but they’re performing like veterans. Their debut EP is nearly flawless, any newbie musician’s dream, and they give you that blissful feeling when you listen to them. Not to mention their upcoming album In Light is looking like it’s going to follow a similar path and win over even more hearts.
GIVERS is fresh, fun, and unusual in the best ways possible. You can check out their self-titled debut now on iTunes to tide you over until the release of their next hit, In Light, on October 2.
