Santos Party House couldn’t have been a more fitting venue for last night’s Fujiya & Miyagi (@fujiyaandmiyagi) gig.  The Brighton band set the vibe for a fun-filled evening of dancing with their electro-rock beats accompanied by string, keys, drums and vocals.  Although the venue isn’t on the top of the list of locations, sort of like a mini Terminal 5 with the same annoying pillars, the sound was a perfect for their performance.

With a mix of jamming electro-pop undertones and a verbal lyrical overlay, Fujiya & Miyagi gave a captivating performance in what’s normally a hopping dance club.  There was, however, one major difference; everyone had both their eyes and ears drawn to the stage.

Fujiya & Miyagi’s interpretation of “dance” music is something you have to listen to before making assumptions on whether or not it is your particular cup of tea.   With such an underground approach they might just entice you stay tuned in.
