There’s a new trio making their appearance in the music scene, The Foot. Based in Denver, The Foot. claims to be a culmination of a variety of bands such as Led Zeppelin and Muse. Boasting versatility, their debut album, Primary Colors, gives off exactly that kind of vibe.
The band’s first song on the album, Seeing Red, really gives the listener a feel for Jeff McCollister’s awesome vocals and acts as a perfect lead-in to the album. Reminding me a bit of Jet, Seeing Red oozes confidence and swagger. The beat of the bass drum accompanying the lead vocals near the end of the song is also a plus.

Empty Hands takes a different route with its harmonizing vocals and Jamaican rhythms at the beginning of the song, but stays true to the alternative rock side of the band with its killer guitar riff in the middle. Furthering the versatility of this band, Dreams makes use of a piano for a mellower feel.
The Foot. is definitely a band you’ll want to keep an eye on. They have some crazy potential, and right now you can snag their debut album for free on their website, www.findthefoot.com.
