More free music!  Yay!  Of course, I got the permission of the band first before posting their stuff.  It’s a personal ethics thing for me.  Anyways, The Arms Akimbo is a band of fire from the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul).  Set to release their debut album in October of 2010, they’ve been gaining notoriety for their vicious indie jams.  While many have compared them to The Strokes and The Libertines, I will respectfully disagree.

They’re music is heavily influenced by Brit rock (two of the members lived in the UK for a couple years and were in the band Jack Maggs), yet I really feel that they stylistically resemble more traditional alt rock music.  Think Alkaline Trio with a bit more indie attitude.  Enjoy these free tracks, and expect an interview and BUZZsession from these guys in the near future!
